Nick Economo

Born on the island of Rhodes, in Greece, Nick demonstrated his artistic talents from an early age. Greece provided an ideal nurturing environment for his natural instincts before he moved to Perth at the age of eight. He commenced his art career after attending an exhibition in Perth by Rodin. Study at the Fine Arts School of Perth`s College of Further Education in 1971 was followed by several years in the far north of Australia.

In the early days of his career Nick`s talents were concentrated on creating sculptures, but today he is more focused on painting. Nick paints in an impressionistic style, using lots of strong bold colours.

He has exhibited widely in both solo and mixed exhibitions achieving considerable recognition and awards.

Nick`s artwork can be found in private collections throughout Australia and overseas in UK, Japan, Holland, USA, Singapore, Greece, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
